SCOPE OF WORK
- Installed 1,900 gravel columns to a depth of 22 metres using the dry bottom feed vibro replacement method
- Installed 690 grouted gravel columns to a depth of 19 metres within tower footprints to achieve enhanced bearing capacity
- Performed five full-scale load tests, including two in a trial area and three in production, with maximum loads of 80 tons to validate performance
- Enabled foundation support for four multi-story residential buildings and a below-grade parking structure on variable soil conditions
- Delivered a hybrid ground improvement solution, tailored to geotechnical conditions across the site footprint

The Harbourside Lot D development consists of four residential towers up to 10 stories high with below-grade parking. Due to challenging soil conditions on site, extensive ground improvement was necessary to meet geotechnical performance requirements. VP Foundations was contracted to install both standard and grouted stone columns to support the structures.
