SCOPE OF WORK
- Design-build delivery model
- Designed and manufactured a foam-filled reinforced concrete float
- Constructed modular float components: 45 m x 4.8 m (outer) and 25 m x 4.27 m (inner)
- Delivered the float system to a remote site 200 km away from the fabrication location
- Installed the new float with a steel pipe mooring system drilled into the seabed

VanPile was contracted by Orca Point LLC to design, build, deliver, and install a custom L-shaped concrete float at a remote fishing lodge on Stuart Island, B.C. The new float replaced aging timber infrastructure and now supports floatplane operations, small vessels, and yacht moorage with improved safety and durability.
