SCOPE OF WORK
- Completed baseline surveys and mapped all affected site services and outfalls
- Removed, stored, and reused existing habitat boulders during upper rock mound installation
- Supplied and installed rip rap, filter rock, granular material, and a 300 mm diameter cobble layer in the lower substrate
- Constructed habitat benches with geobag walls and precise levelling courses
- Planted riparian and saltmarsh vegetation using certified planting soil as per environmental specifications

To support vessel launch operations in Burrard Inlet, VanPile partnered with Seaspan ULC on the construction of a 7,500 m2 gravel bed and marine habitat offsetting area near MacKay Creek. The work enhanced critical kelp and salmonid habitat and was delivered in accordance with Fisheries Act Authorization requirements.
