SCOPE OF WORK
- Construction of two Quad Type 2 concrete float modules for the new SAR station in Hartley Bay, B.C.
- One Dual Type 2 float module delivered to the International Ocean Science Facility in Sidney, B.C.
- Float sizes up to 52.4 m x 17.07 m x 1.69 m, totaling over 1,340 m² of reinforced marine platform
- Built with EPS foam billets, 40 MPa concrete, marine-grade coatings, and structural steel reinforcements
- Includes utility chases, ladders, bull rails, and rub boards to ensure durability and safe docking functionality

Under Canada’s $1.5 billion Oceans Protection Plan, VanPile was selected to build three new marine float modules to support Coast Guard operations and scientific research. These structures enhance marine safety and infrastructure resilience on both the B.C. Coast and Vancouver Island.
