SCOPE OF WORK
- Design and construction of a 500 m quay wall, LNG platform, and two LNG loading berths
- Installation of 5 mooring dolphins, 8 berthing dolphins, and 1 offshore dolphin
- Largest pile diameter: 1778 mm, with single-piece piles reaching 55 m in length
- Full scope includes scour protection, building foundations, marine equipment, and automated navigation aids
- Joint venture team led demolition, shoreline protection, and integration with existing infrastructure since 2020

In partnership with BESIX, VanPile is delivering a world-class LNG export berth in Kitimat, Northern B.C. – a key gateway connecting North America’s natural gas supply to global markets. This landmark infrastructure supports the growth of B.C.’s LNG industry and strengthens Canada’s role in global energy transition.
SCOPE OF WORK
- Designed and constructed a temporary offloading dock with a piled abutment and floating transfer barge
- Executed complex marine works including pile driving, dredging, earth fills, and rock revetment
- Installed mooring and berthing equipment for safe offloading operations
- Overcame arctic logistics challenges, shipping all materials and equipment by sea months in advance
- Supported critical infrastructure for the Mary River Mine and Milne Port expansion within the Arctic Circle
