Marine Deep Foundations
As part of the Vancouver Centerm Expansion Project, VanPile executed major marine-based ground improvement works to support the terminal’s increased capacity and expanded footprint. The upgrade boost Centerm’s handling capacity by two-thirds, improving port efficiency and goods movement across the south shore.
VanPile delivered ground improvement services for the new TFN Sewage Treatment Plant in Tsawwassen, B.C., installing nearly 800 stone columns to mitigate seismic risk. The Dry Bottom Feed method was chosen to eliminate clean-up time, allowing civil works to proceed immediately and keeping the project on a fast-track schedule.
VanPile played a key role in the expansion of the Vancouver Convention Centre, delivering heavy marine and land-based construction to support a world-class venue for large-scale events.
VanPile was contracted to upgrade the BC Ferries Deas FMU terminal in the Deas Basin, a key facility for vessel repairs.
