MARY RIVER EXPANSION STAGE 3 – FREIGHT DOCK

To support the expansion of the Mary River Mine in Nunavut, VanPile and its joint venture partner delivered a custom-designed, temporary offloading dock in one of Canada's most remote arctic locations. The dock enabled efficient ship-to-shore transfer of heavy prefabricated modules during the short summer shipping window.

CITY OF RICHMOND – NO. 2 ROAD BRIDGE

VanPile delivered complex marine and structural works for a 10-span precast segmental post-tensioned box girder bridge over the Fraser River. Innovative construction methods - including precast pier cap shells to eliminate cofferdams - earned the project the prestigious Montgomery Award for Construction Innovation.

LANGDALE TERMINAL BERTH 1 REPLACEMENT

VanPile delivered ground improvement services for the new TFN Sewage Treatment Plant in Tsawwassen, B.C., installing nearly 800 stone columns to mitigate seismic risk. The Dry Bottom Feed method was chosen to eliminate clean-up time, allowing civil works to proceed immediately and keeping the project on a fast-track schedule.

VFPA – STERLING SHIPYARD INFILL & REMEDIATION

VanPile completed a targeted remediation and habitat enhancement project within the Vancouver Fraser Port, which included dredging contaminated sediment and constructing a rock berm revetment. The project was completed ahead of schedule and within the environmental window to protect migratory fish species.

SHIP LOAD-OUT AND GRAVEL BED – SEASPAN HABITAT

To support vessel launch operations in Burrard Inlet, VanPile partnered with Seaspan ULC on the construction of a 7,500 m2 gravel bed and marine habitat offsetting area near MacKay Creek. The work enhanced critical kelp and salmonid habitat and was delivered in accordance with Fisheries Act Authorization requirements.
