North Vancouver, BC – Carlson Construction Group (Carlson) is very pleased to announce the appointment of Carlo Marengo as its new Chief Executive (CEO). Carlo will assume responsibilities effective April 11, 2022 and will succeed interim CEO Gary Herman who will return to Carlson’s Advisory Board.

Carlo Marengo is an internationally experienced senior construction executive with over 25 years of experience in Project Construction Management specializing in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) projects spanning business development through commissioning and turnover within the Energy & Chemicals, Infrastructure, Mining & Minerals and Power sectors. Carlo spent the last 7 years with Fluor Canada Ltd., based in Calgary, Alberta, and most recently in the position of Regional Director of Construction & Fabrication. Prior to Fluor Canada Ltd, Carlo was the Regional Operations Director for Group Five oil & gas (South Africa) with focus on construction, maintenance, and turnarounds projects; as well the Global Business Unit Executive of Kentz Group which was one of the world’s top oil and gas services providers prior to being acquired by SNC-Lavalin in 2014. Carlo is a professional engineer who holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical) with honours from the University of Witwatesrand (South Africa).
