Effective September 1, 2020 Carlson Construction Group (CCG) will promote two Business Function Leaders to the positions of Vice President, to reflect their increasing responsibilities and the strategic importance of these business functions which underpin the company’s rapid growth.

CCG has promoted Christine Lorimer, CPHR to Vice President, Human Resources. Christine joined CCG in January 2019 following a successful human resources career in Canadian companies operating in consulting engineering, manufacturing and construction. Christine leads the HR Function and team in CCG and which plays a critical role in achieving profitable growth of our Operating Divisions. She is responsible to drive our strategy to be employer of choice in the construction industry.

CCG has also promoted Vanessa Hobden, CPA, CGA, FCIArb, MRICS to Vice President, Commercial and Risk Management. Vanessa joined CCG in October 2018 following a successful international career in consulting engineering and construction.   With her varied background as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, Professional Accountant and Arbitrator, Vanessa leads the Commercial and Risk Management Functions in CCG and their critical roles in managing risks and opportunities to support successful performance of our Operating Divisions. She is responsible to drive our strategy to implement best risk management practices in all our operations and leads our team of Quantity Surveyors and Commercial staff.
